METHOD
Step 1.
Preheat your oven to 220°C (428°F).Step 2.
In a bowl, mix the yeast, sugar, and warm water. Let it sit for 10 minutes until frothy.Step 3.
Combine the flour and salt in a large bowl. Make a well in the centre and pour in the yeast mixture and olive oil. Stir until the dough comes together.Step 4.
Turn the dough out onto a floured surface and knead for about 5 minutes, until smooth. Place in an oiled bowl, cover with a damp cloth, and let it rise for 30 minutes.Step 5.
Meanwhile, slice the jalapenos and mince the garlic.Step 6.
Once the dough has risen, punch it down and roll it out on a floured surface to your desired thickness. Transfer it to a baking tray lined with parchment paper.Step 7.
Spread the béchamel sauce over the dough, leaving a small border around the edges.Step 8.
Sprinkle the shredded cheese over the sauce, followed by the minced garlic and jalapeños slices.Step 9.
