METHOD
Step 1.
Preheat the oven to 180C/350F and grease a loaf tin.Step 2.
In a large bowl, combine the butter and sugar until light and fluffy.Step 3.
Slowly beat in the eggs, adding one at a time.Step 4.
Sift in the flour, cocoa powder, spices, and salt into the mixture. Add baking powder.Step 5.
Stir in the milk until the batter is smooth.Step 6.
Fold in the chocolate chunks.Step 7.
Pour the batter into the greased loaf tin.Step 8.
Bake for about 60 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.Step 9.
Allow the cake to cool before topping with icing sugar and serving.
